Vocal and activation workshops for seniors
The workshops will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Music School in Ruda Śląska - a symbolic place where the musical tradition of the city has been passed down for generations.
The aim of the workshops will be not only to improve vocal technique but above all to rebuild the agency, activity and intergenerational relations of the participants. The Silesian choral tradition has always been a way to overcome everyday difficulties, to be together in harmony - literally and figuratively. Seniors who take part in the workshops will not only remember how to sing, but above all will find their musical role in a dynamically changing world. The effect of this meeting will be not only the strengthening of the participants' voices but also their greater presence in the culture of the city.
Modern research shows that singing has a huge impact on the mental and physical condition of seniors.
– improves memory, strengthens respiratory muscles, and above all gives joy and a sense of belonging.
The workshops will be led by Magdalena Nogańska – conductor and music educator, member of the Youth Council of the Silesian Association of Choirs and Orchestras.
Events carried out as part of the Project: “Fourth Nature Laboratories: Activation of Local Communities
