The International Festival 5th Night of Choirs
The International Festival 5th Night of Choirs, which will take place in Ruda Śląska on May 25, is an extraordinary event. It will not only connect music enthusiasts, but will also be a unique artistic and social experience. The Night of Choirs is not only concerts, but also moments of reflection on the value of music in our everyday lives.
The festival's philosophy is clear: "Music for everyone!" We want everyone to be able to enjoy singing and feel that music is available to everyone. That is why we invite both experienced choristers and those who simply want to listen to the beauty of sounds to Ruda Śląska.
And there will be a lot going on, because the formula of the Festival is unusual. Traditionally, it takes the form of a walk, where the audience and singers will walk between concert venues to listen to numerous 20-minute concerts. There will be no rivalries or competitions during the Night of Choirs. Instead, we will witness extraordinary presentations where music will resound in unusual urban spaces. A historic water tower, a restored railway station, a typical Silesian Einfart or even the gardens of a municipal kindergarten will become a stage where singing will be the main character. Choirs and vocal groups will present a wide range of musical genres - from early music, through contemporary sounds, to jazz and sacred music. Children's choirs will also perform.
But it is not everything. The Night of Choirs is also a celebration of participation. Everyone who comes will have the opportunity not only to listen, but also to co-create music. Choral workshops at the Town Square, Flashmobs and a joint performance of the "Song of the Night of Choirs" are just some of the attractions awaiting our guests.
However, what is most important is the idea of inclusivity. There are no divisions or exclusions in the Night of Choirs. Everyone who loves music will find their place here.
