VI Night of Choirs in Ruda Śląska

 

As evening falls, the city will once again begin to sing.

On May 30, 2026, Ruda Śląska will open its spaces for the seventh time to voices from around the world, inviting residents and visitors alike to take part in an extraordinary musical event — the International Festival Night of Choirs.

​

Once again, music will step beyond the walls of concert halls and resonate where everyday life unfolds — in streets, squares, gardens, and between buildings — creating a unique atmosphere of closeness and community. Every sound becomes an invitation to pause for a moment and share a collective experience.

​

As they wander through Nowy Bytom, audiences and performers will meet in places that are unexpected yet full of character: industrial and historic sites, intimate corners, and open green spaces. This diversity of locations is reflected in the repertoire — ranging from early music and contemporary works to jazz improvisations and sacred music.

​

The Night of Choirs is not only about listening — it is also about creating together. As tradition holds, participants are invited to join in active singing during open choral workshops held in the Market Square.

​

The festival will culminate in a gathering of all participants during the “Singing Market Square”, where at 10:00 PM a joint performance of the “Night of Choirs Song” will bring the evening to a close.

​

The Night of Choirs is an open space — free of barriers and divisions, rooted in respect for diversity. Once again, it brings people together through voice, emotion, and shared experience.
