Verum Cantus

The "Verum Cantus" choir (until 2022 "Cantus Cordis") is an amateur Polish community mixed choir founded on November 8, 2004.

The choir takes part in occasional cultural and religious events in Belarus (in Pinsk, Baranowicze, Mołodeczno, Mosarz, Iszkołdzie, Dzerzhinsk, Uzda, Budsław and in Poland: in Warsaw, Brodnica, Aleksandrów-Kujawski, Licheń, Jasna Góra, Częstochowa, Zamość , Lublin, Wrocław, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Łódź, etc.).

The choir provides, among other things, the musical setting for Sunday Masses in Polish in the church of St. Saint Simon and Saint Helena in Minsk. He constantly acts as an initiator and organizer of numerous events for Poles living in Belarus.

The choir participated in numerous festivals and reviews of Polish and Polish community choirs.

The choir presents various concert programs:

"Through Generations" created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence is presented to this day, a program of sacred music by Stanisław Moniuszko for the Jubilee year 2019, a program "In Homage to John Paul II" and a Christmas carol program.

 

Every Sunday, the choir participates in the Holy Mass at 7:00 p.m. on the Golden Hill in Minsk.

 

The founder and conductor of the choir is Janina Chwalko
