WRZOSY JESIENI
The "Wrzosy Jesieni" (Autumn Heather) Choir of the Bytom University of the Third Age was established in 2009 and currently consists of 37 members.
The ensemble’s diverse repertoire includes over 140 pieces, ranging from Christmas carols and folk songs (both Polish and international) to patriotic and religious works, jazz standards, pop hits, opera and operetta arias, and gospel music. Remarkably, the choir performs in 11 different languages.
In addition to regular concerts, a significant part of the choir's activity involves participating in national and international competitions and festivals, from which they frequently return as award winners.
Recently, the choir won First Prize at the 23rd Diocesan Festival of Christmas Carols and Pastorales "Złota Kantyczka" in Jaworzno. Just a month later, in 2026, they received an Honorable Mention at the prestigious 32nd Rev. Kazimierz Szwarlik International Festival of Christmas Carols and Pastorales in Będzin.
