CONTINUUM

(Lat. continuous) The choir was founded in 2009 on the initiative of a group of doctors who had previously sung in an academic choir. They decided to maintain the... continuity of their interests and keep making music together. In the beginning, alongside the medical professionals, the choir included people from various other walks of life. We used to say that our choir consisted of "doctors and friends." Over time, however, with the exception of one colleague, the doctors gradually moved on, leaving only the "friends."

Currently, the choir consists of 14 members plus a conductor. Musical passion and friendship are the core values that bind our members together.

Our repertoire spans musical styles from the Renaissance and the Baroque (including the great Johann Sebastian Bach), through the Classicism of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the 19th century, all the way to 20th-century music. We perform both secular and sacred pieces, as well as folk and popular music (including themes from films that are now considered masterpieces).

We perform primarily in Lublin and the surrounding areas, but we have also traveled to distant cities such as Bydgoszcz, Gniezno, Gdańsk, Opole, and Warsaw. A mandatory highlight of our winter season is singing carols in churches, community centers, and sanatoriums in nearby Nałęczów.

CONDUCTOR: Tadeusz Tuszowski studied choral conducting under Professor Antoni Szaliński at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (formerly the Academy of Music).

The second major pillar of his musical interests is theatre and film. He has composed and arranged music for various Warsaw theatres, including the National Theatre, Powszechny Theatre, Ateneum, and Popularny Theatre. He has also recorded music for films and appeared on screen as an actor.
