CHÓR CSIKSZERDA
Csíkszerda Choir (Budapest, HU) is an experimental choir lead by artistic director Árpád Tóth.
For the Polish Night of Choirs they prepared a shortened selection of their most recent concert programme around the theme of Daybreak. The light of the sun, like unconditional love, has surrounded us since the beginning of humanity. It is therefore no coincidence that various musical works about the Sun—especially sunrise and dawn—have woven their way through choral literature since the very beginnings of music history. The choir will evoke the sounds of intimate Romanticism, constructivist modern compositions, and present some choral improvisation on Hungarian folk melodies.
